How to Commission Research

You can commission research from me. If you would like to commission research, here are the steps to find out more.

1) Fill in the form below. Please fill in as much information as possible about the research you require. Then fill in your contact details � please be careful when typing in your email address.

Please note, I will not carry out any work until we have agreed the scope, details and timeframe.

2) I will reply within 48 hours, answering any questions, and estimating the total cost.

3) If you agree to commission me, just email me back to confirm. I may require a deposit of �20, if I have not carried out research for you before.

4) When the research is agreed, I will carry out the work, then invoice you for the agreed amount.

Costs

For details of my charges, please refer to the services that I offer. Costs are typically �10 for half an hour. For research at the archives, I do not charge for travel. However, if I make any photocopies for you, I will pass on the actual cost.

Don't worry - I will keep you informed. Nothing comes as a nasty shock at the end.

Payment Methods

For overseas customers, I accept payment by Paypal. This allows you to pay in your own currency, using Paypal's standard conversion rates to pounds sterling.

For customers in the UK, I also accept cheques and postal orders.
